Secret Santa Gifts

At work we had a secret Santa gift swap. I got my store manager! I didn't have enough time to make her a hat and something else like I planned, so I made her two dishcloths, and got her some body wash, lotion and spray from Bath & Body Works. Somehow I picked up her favorite scent! Kudos to me.

First I just made a regular cloth. This is my new go-to dishcloth pattern. It's quick, easy, and looks good.
Crochet Dishcloths by Lily / Sugar 'n Cream
Yarn: Lily Sugar 'N Cream Ombres and Prints in Strawberry
Hook: US H (5.0 mm)
Date started and finished: December 16
Mods: It's actually a bit shorter; I didn't want to run out. I could almost make an afghan out of it. Great pattern!

And I made her another one, which she said she's going to put on her daughter's wall! Awh.

Fish Washcloth/Dishcloth by Judith Prindle
Yarn: Lily Sugar 'N Cream Ombres and Prints in Strawberry
Hook: US H (5.0 mm)
Date started and finished: December 19
Mods: I think I added more decreases in the tail section to make it more... "tail-y." I guess so it has more distinction between the body and tail. That makes more sense.

Gotta love that cotton! Go for it! I love handmade washcloths. They're so nice against your skin.

Didn't I mail you some cotton? I can always send more!! :D The cheap Lily 'n Cream cotton is my favorite. It comes in a variety of colors, and is cheap! AND THEY HAVE SCENTED YARN.
