Easy Peasy Garter Stitch Scarf

Garter Stitch Scarf
Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver in Aran Fleck
Needles: US 10
Size: 42" x 8"

This is just a plain old garter stitch scarf for my Daddy for Christmas. I CO 40 and knit till I ran out of yarn. It served as excellent therapy knitting for when I'm sick or just don't want to do anything more complicated. It's extremely wide, perfect for wrapping around his neck and mouth waiting in the cold at the bus stop.

Oh, and if this yarn looks familiar it used to be an Irish Hiking Scarf, but that failed miserably. I'm happy with this, too. I'm making him a IHS in Caron Simply Soft in a nice blue color. And I'll probably make a matching hat.
